Now that I finally have my kitchen aid, I am convinced that the next appliance will either be the pasta maker or the icecream maker.. Summer is past now, so does it make sense to go for the icecream maker first? Probably not, but yesterday I got serious icecream making urges…I was giving a photography workshop to Caroline from Ijssalon de Hoop, in Blaricum en Evelien, who makes gorgeous weddingcakes from Boketor, also in Blaricum. Two lovely ladies who wanted to have some more insights in how they could produce good photographs of their products. Evelien brought a beautiful three layer black cake (see below) and Caroline brought delicious icecream. It’s just not any icecream, as they have been voted best Icecream parlor of 2009. I can still remember when I was a kid; every sunday or almost every sunday we would nag our parents endlessly because we wanted to get an icecream from The Hoop…. Quite famous in our area! So if you’re ever in the neighbourhood you should definitely pay them a visit.
It was a fun day yesterday, although the extra difficulties with icecream melting is always a challenge! I didn’t take a lot of photos and the above one is just a quick snap… But I just loved those drips coming down the side!
Ofcourse, since the icecream melted we had to eat it at some point… It would be a waste to throw it away don’t you think??
But all that icecream made me want to have my icecream maker sort of right now…Then again I do think it makes for a perfect christmas present (hint, hint honey…) so maybe I should just be patient a little bit longer!
