I know, I know… Most of you won’t be interested as this book is written in Dutch but I couldn’t just leave it out here now could I? Because I am kind of bursting with anxiety and excitement at the same time…

You see, when I was a little kid, I always dreamed of becoming a world famous writer. One who wrote scary stories, because that was what I liked… Somewhere in a box in the attic there is still my very first “novel” hiding in a dusty corner. “Ineke and Simone in the jungle” is the fabulous title… :) I was eight years old and those few sheets of paper really felt like an entire book at the time!

And so it is slightly weird that all of a sudden it is really there; my own book. A book about foodphotography ofcourse, what else would it be? My dreams of writing a book about scary monsters has long come and gone, but when publisher Pearson called me and asked if I wanted to write a book, I could hardly say no… And in the meantime the actual publishing date is getting really really close. Just a few more weeks and it will be for sale in the stores.. Weird but true.

And ofcourse I hope everyone likes it. It is my greatest nightmare to find out that everyone hates the book and thinks it’s rubbish… But anyway, starting today the book is for sale in the presale with a 20% discount at bol.com. This discount is only valid if you order it in the presale. As soon as the book is out, the discount will be gone. This offers will run from the 15th of August until the 6th of September, so if you want to buy it, save yourself a few euro’s.

And if you do decide to get the book, please let me know what you thought of it. Miss anything? Let me know also, so I can maybe write an extra article here on my blog to make up for it. You gotta love digital media and the options it gives you to react quickly.

The book is meant for beginners and mostly geared towards foodbloggers.

Digitale Fotografie Food is for sale at bol.com from 20.99 now for 16.79 for three weeks only!

(and if you know someone who might like the book too, pass on the message… Cause it would be nice if we have at least one buyer…Lol…) O and the book will be in ebook too.

Oh, Simone, this is so wonderful! It looks beautiful AND instructive! When will it be translated into English??

    Simone van den Berg Reply:

Thanks Jamie! I don’t know really… Probably never.. ;) There are already quite a few books about food photography in English so the chances of this one getting translated into English are fairly slim I would say… Sorry! ;) Guess you do have to learn Dutch then.. lol
