I’ve been really busy and having fun with my new blogging adventure over on Scribbles and Notes. I know I’ve been doing rather insane things when it comes to stopping and starting new blogs but this is gonna be the one that stays around. I’ve started and stopped Beetroot and Halloumi as well as The unreliable Foodie in the past half year or so. I love my foodblog but there is also lots of other things that I love and I wanted to find a home for that. And the other two just weren’t right, either because the name didn’t do to well for me (I mean seriously; who comes up with a weird name like The Unreliable Foodie??) but Scribbles and Notes is what it is, little scribbles and notes about my life outside of food! (O and I am even doing little photography tutorials there in video! Scary..
But ofcourse this will always be my first love..So not to worry if you don’t care about me writing about other stuff. No need! I will still be here! I don’t know how it is with you but the weather here is turned full autumn. I’ve heard people from as close as Germany tell me very different things. Things such bright blue skies, sunshine and outdoors fun. Things I don’t really want to know! Over here it’s been rain, wind, a tiny bit of sunshine in between and more rain.
I’ve also had quite a bit of trouble with my car or, maybe I should say, other people have been having trouble with my car while I was not there. Twice now in one month time I’ve had damage done to my car while parked. One time a scratch across the side door with a key (or similar object) and one time last week someone hit my car from behind (while I was parked in a normal parking spot), damaged the rear bumper, broke my taillight and ofcourse did not leave a note. Damage 1 was 600 euro, damage 2 was 900 euro. I hadn’t even had the first one repaired!
Needless to say I was really angry!! By the time you’ll be reading this it should be completely fixed again and as good as new… Fingers crossed it stays that way for a while now as this is the third damage in one year time and not surprisingly this is costing me a lot of no-claim on my insurance… Anyway, how did I get from soup to car-trouble? You tell me..
This soup is delicious and will take away most of your sorrows in a heartbeat. It is warming, comforting and autumn food at it’s best. If you want to keep it vegetarian remove the bacon bits and replace with crispy croutons. it does need that little crunch on top!
